Abandoned Cruise Ships: A Glimpse into the Past
Exploring Shipbreaking Yards
While abandoned cruise ships are far from common sights, they can still be found in various locations worldwide. The largest cruise ship scrap yard is in Alang, India, and it recycles more than 50 percent of the world's abandoned and decommissioned cruise ships. Decommissioned ships are almost always sent to one of two scrapyards, the largest being Alang, located in India.
