Gunners ease into final as Blackstenius bags hat-trick
Arsenal are through to the final of the Womens League Cup after a comfortable 4-0 win over Aston Villa at Meadow Park. Blackstenius breaks deadlock
Blackstenius opened the scoring in the 18th minute, heading home from close range after a cross from Katie McCabe. She doubled her tally just six minutes later, finishing off a sweeping move involving Mead and Frida Maanum. The Swedish striker completed her hat-trick in the 36th minute, tapping home from close range after good work from Mead. Arsenal continued to dominate after the break, but it took until the 81st minute for them to add to their lead, Mead scoring with a powerful strike.
